About Us
Robert Cooper
Robert (Bob) Cooper is a native Texan who was born in Dallas. His father’s career took the family from Los Angeles, California to Darien, Connecticut and back to Houston, Texas. Bob graduated from high school in Houston and attended Baylor University. He graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with an emphasis in journalism.
After graduating from Baylor, Bob was hired by 103.7 KVIL and began what became a 29 year career in the radio business. He moved from an entry-level sales position to sales management and, ultimately, vice-president and general manager. In this role, Bob managed a staff of over 70 employees and was responsible for over $30 million in annual revenue. One of Bob’s greatest achievements (and favorite jobs!) was creating the Dallas Cowboy Radio Network and overseeing the broadcasts of the Dallas Cowboys on KVIL. Bob acted as the Vice-President and General Manager of KVIL for ten years.
In 1997, and under Bob’s supervision, KVIL was awarded the lifetime achievement award, “Legendary Station of the Year” by the National Association of Broadcasters. In 2000, the American Women in Radio and Television honored Bob with the “Radio General Manager of the Year” award.
After retiring from broadcasting, Bob, along with his wife Jean-Ann, created Cooper Worldwide, Inc.. The company buys, remodels and resells older homes in the Dallas area. In 2008, Cooper Worldwide Inc. expanded by adding another division, Cooper Worldwide Coaching, with the purpose of coaching individuals in their business and personal lives. Because Bob spent his entire career empowering and challenging people to be the best they could be, coaching is a natural fit for him. Bob’s coaching focus is on supporting entrepreneurs and professionals in order to dramatically increase their business and to enhance the quality of their lives.
Bob is married to Jean-Ann and has three grown children, Kimberly, Ryan and Drew. He also has two grandchildren, Luke and Nicole, who call him “Bubba”. Bob has been involved in community service as a member of the East Dallas Exchange Club, the DREAM Fund, and the Southwest Transplant Organization.
Jean-Ann Cooper
Jean-Ann was born in Hollywood, California and, shortly thereafter, moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her parents and two brothers. She began her broadcasting career in Phoenix by focusing on sales and management. In 1988, Jean-Ann left her sales management position with NBC affiliate, KPNX Channel 12, for an opportunity to move to the eighth largest broadcasting market in the country, Dallas, Texas.
It was in Dallas where Jean-Ann spread her wings. After working for a few years as an account executive at WFAA-TV, she took a bold leap into broadcast consulting and event production with The Ziller Brazell Company. While with Ziller Brazell, she served the needs of television stations and their audiences in nine markets.
Although Jean-Ann enjoyed consulting and traveling, she was drawn back to the local television market in Dallas. As the Local Sales Manager for KDFW FOX 4, Jean-Ann was responsible for a successful sales team, a support staff and $120 million in annual revenue.
In 1999, Jean-Ann was awarded the American Women in Radio and Television’s highest honor, the “Silver Award of Excellence,” a lifetime achievement award. In 2000 and 2001, she was presented Telly Awards for her production of two community service videos for DREAM Fund. DREAM Fund is a non-profit organization serving media professionals in a five-state southwest region.
In 2000, Jean-Ann retired from the broadcasting business, but remained involved in the community. She served as President of DREAM Fund in 2000 and continues as a board member today. Recently, Jean-Ann committed to donate time to coach and mentor the single moms at Exodus Ministries, a non-profit agency in Dallas, TX supporting female ex-offenders in their efforts to re-establish their lives with their children.
Jean-Ann has been married to Bob for twelve years and has three grown stepchildren. She has two grandchildren, Nicole and Luke, who call her “Boo.” Jean-Ann loves her crazy dog, Sydney, and tries to get in at least one round of golf each week.
Jean-Ann’s passion is seeing others succeed and achieve their dreams. As a personal life and business coach with Cooper Worldwide Coaching, Jean-Ann has found her niche. Coaching allows her to honestly and compassionately come along side others, to encourage them, to challenge them and to celebrate their victories…no matter how big or small.
